Hello, Britain! Orrite, love? Fancy seeing you here.
I'm back, and ready to work with all my favorite UK clients once again :) Hey there. It's been a minute. I'm terrible at blogging.
Just popped in to say I've relocated to BERLIN, GERMANY! Holy moly. It was time again for another big life adventure, so my husband, tiny dog, and I are back here in Europe, seeing what kind of mischief and mayhem we can get into. Hopefully the kind with good beer and sausages? Mmm. Xx My fiancé Nick and I were just featured on Rock 'N Roll Bride for our cinematic take on our engagement photo shoot. We're both actors (we met in grad school), so it just made sense for us to have a little more fun with this than couples usually do. We paid homage to Wet Hot American Summer, Friday the 13th, Addams Family Values, Stranger Things, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Blair Witch Project. Our photographer Nessa K nailed the ambiance of every shot.
It's probably fine for me to use these as my new headshots, right? Read the article here: CAMP HALLOWEEN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT: STRANGER THINGS, FRIDAY THE 13TH & ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES! As a voiceover artist, one of the reasons I'm really eager to get into cartoons is because these kinds of shows are emerging and thriving right now, and I want to be a part of it.
Top 11 Times This Year Pop Culture Reminded Us Kids Are Queer Too ![]() This week I made my debut as the all-knowing, mind-reading, gigantic-brain-having alien overlord ULTIMOR in the Baltimore-based-comedy-radio-play-podcast (...phew...) "Meanwhile, At The Skull Base"! Basically, it's an audio comic book (why isn't that more of a thing?) created and recorded by some funny and talented Baltimore artists who are looking to make the world of podcasts that much more delightfully ridiculous. It's kind of like....The Venture Bros. for your ears. Ultimor makes her first appearance in Season 2, Episode #5: The Ultimate Smartness and the Sisqo Kid. After many a friend's recommendation, I searched through the magic of Netflix to find the documentary "I Know That Voice", and was definitely not disappointed. It is absolutely a must-see for voice actors, but also for anyone who loves (or has EVER loved) cartoons. It gives fascinating insight into the craft of voice acting for animation, and made me unbelievably jealous of every single mind-blowingly talented actor that was featured. I basically grinned like an idiot through the entirety of the film. You love these people, whether or not you'd ever recognize them if they stood right in front of you. |
